The night life in Salzburg
4. October 2021After a successful and eventful trade fair, but also before the start of the trade fair, the right evening program plays a role that should not be despised. People like to be out and about in the city – cozy and contemplative, quite stylish – and gather first impressions or celebrate a successful event. The nightlife in Salzburg has numerous big and small highlights to offer, even away from the busy, loud party miles. With the following charming and entertaining tips you are guaranteed to be always right.
Stone terrace
From breakfast to nightcap, and that with perhaps the best view in town: the stone terrace of the Hotel Stein in Salzburg’s old town combines enjoyment and comfort with a well-balanced bar menu. Until midnight or 1 a.m. (Friday and Saturday), the lounge with its smart, unobtrusive ambience and friendly service whisks you away to relaxation and wellbeing, and can also be partially or fully rented for private events. Please note that the Hotel Stein and the Steinterrasse are currently being extensively renovated and will only be available again in summer 2017.

Jazzit: Music: Club
For around 15 years, jazz has had a permanent place in Salzburg’s nightlife. The Jazzit: Musik: Club has already welcomed legends of the genre from all over the world and also offers the experimental, avant-garde and world music scene a second home. If no concert is taking place in the large event hall, the associated bar in the Elisabeth-Vorstadt combines underground flair with a spirit of innovation. Accompanied by jam sessions and a DJ line, you can enjoy the dignified side of Salzburg’s nightlife. The Jazzit: Bar and the hall can also be rented for private parties.

Hangar-7
Don’t be put off by the comparatively remote location at Salzburg Airport – the Red Bull Hangar-7 is one of the tasteful hotspots of Salzburg’s nightlife. On the second floor, surrounded by historical aircraft, the Mayday Bar serves exquisite cocktails with an international flair. Specially designed bar food dishes by top guest chefs ensure epicurean delights. A footbridge leads to the Threesixty Bar under the dome. Fine sparkling wines, champagne and cider await visitors here. In the summer months, the outdoor lounge opens its doors on the large visitor terrace.
