The Advent market on Domplatz and Residenzplatz in the city of Salzburg is perhaps the most famous in the entire state. In historical locations, with the imposing cathedral in the back, it is wonderful to endure with a cup of mulled wine, roasted almonds and numerous events. Numerous exhibitors present culinary delights, handicrafts and small gifts.

Christmas market at Mirabell Palace

Every year, the picturesque backdrop of Mirabell Palace attracts visitors to this small but fine Christmas market near the train station. The events of this Christmas market in Salzburg inspire with traditional music and wind instruments. Of course, the Perchtenlauf on December 2nd is also a must.

Hellbrunn Advent Magic

We have been working hard on this very special Salzburg Christmas market since mid-November. 13,000 red balls and fairy lights transform Hellbrunn Palace into a pre-Christmas paradise. In addition to traditional craftsmanship and atmospheric Christmas carols, the contemplative children’s program makes young eyes light up.

Christmas market at Gut Aiderbichl

This Christmas market in the Salzburg area is located in Henndorf on what is perhaps the most famous farm in the country. The center of attraction is the live animal crib with sheep, donkeys, cattle and many other animals. Not only children feel right at home in the fairytale atmosphere and around the campfire.

Christmas market on Silent Night Square in Oberndorf

In 1818 the famous Christmas carol “Silent Night, Holy Night” was premiered in Oberndorf near Salzburg. Around this historic site, where the Silent Night Chapel is located today, you bathe in the spirit of the Christmas story. This small but fine Advent market is characterized by atmospheric romance and unmistakable ambience.
