Kings & Queens in February
The fashion year traditionally begins with an outlook for the coming autumn and winter. So it stood Fashion premiere in February under the motto “Kings & Queens”. Around 100 exhibitors and over 130 Brandboxx fixed tenants set truly royal highlights. A special focus was on a balanced mix of established brands and new labels, which appreciated the family atmosphere and brought in corresponding highlights, including the corset dress with Swarovski stones from RM Exclusive Lingerie. At the Fashion Night Austria’s model elite gave a glamorous insight into royal trends, including Miss Austria Dragana Stankovic, Patricia Kaiser and “Austria’s Next Top Model” candidate Manuel Stummvoll – a real feast on the catwalk.
Royal outfits for little fashion fans
Who says fashion is only an adult thing? At the Brandboxx trade fairs, even the little ones make it big. The JOT junior fashion was also dominated by the royal “Kings & Queens” theme. Splendid outfits and fine fabrics from old and new faces set stylish accents. Exhibitors emphasized the importance of JOT for the Austrian children’s fashion market and were enthusiastic about the organization. The undisputed highlight, however, was Lia Bach’s fashion show on the first day. Five children from the Traumzeit eV association, which supports children with cancer, were among the 35 princesses and princes.
Welcome to the Fashion Jungle!
The Fashion premiere from July 30th to August 1st, however, dared to take a first look at the summer of 2018 and brought the jungle into the Brandboxx. “Jungle in the Boxx” – the name said it all with paradisiacal looks, inspired by magic and adventure, fantasy and The fascination of the rainforest. Colorful all-over prints, casual, sporty Bermuda shorts and long summer dresses or tunics worn as dresses dominated the action. Beachwear was mainly floral with creative prints and an exotic touch.
Of course, this topic continued at JOT. Colorful, eye-catching style with tropical plant prints is very popular. Also not to be despised: “Athleisure”, a mix of a sporty retro look and functional, comfortable casual clothing. The fashion show by Lia Bach under the motto “A Garden of Eden” knew how to inspire with its nostalgic fairy tale world.
