That was KIDS Austria 2016

Once again, KIDS Austria proved to be the Austrian trade fair meeting for children’s hardware. The fully booked children’s trade fair at Brandboxx Salzburg was dedicated to 9. and October 10, 2016 the youngest. The trump card of KIDS Austria was once again the wide range of segments for (expectant) parents: strollers / seats and car seats, stretchers and toys as well as textiles and interior design were presented by a number of established regular and new exhibitors.

There was a lot to see and marvel at with designated highlights at each stand. With the new YEMAYA carrying concept, Columbus Trading Partners is making a real fashion statement. The ergonomically shaped, multifunctional baby carrier in various attractive design options can also be used like a handbag. From ABC Design comes the WOODline stroller with protective and push bar made of wood as well as a practical, space-saving wood-metal high chair that can be folded up in no time.

MIOS, the little brother of the PRIAM pram from Cybex, is ideally suited for the urban jungle thanks to its edge size of 50 cm. Thanks to the mesh insert, MIOS can be used in warmer climates and for children who sweat easily. The smart pushchair INDY by Gesslein combines all functions in a compact central joint and was deservedly honored with the IF Design Award 2016.

Under the motto “Howdy- American Dream!”, Brandboxx Salzburg invited to a big get-together on the first evening of the fair – a welcome opportunity for over 280 guests to relax a little and have a casual chat. DJ Bert van Engel and die Line dance group “Street Stomper” ensured the best atmosphere, while BBQ world champion Helmut Karl took care of the physical well-being with his ingenious burgers. Former ski world champion Marlies Schild, herself the mother of a little boy and as a Träumeland testimonial on site, drew a lucky winner after her autograph session for a flight to New York for two people.

Looking back, the organizers of KIDS Austria 2016 are completely satisfied. Exhibition manager Ulrike Charlotte Martin emphasized her passion for the event and was pleased to welcome the family of children’s hardware again. Brandboxx managing director Markus Oberhamberger was also enthusiastic and emphasized the growth in customers from neighboring countries: “Steps in the right direction for the entire children’s industry”.
